Acrylic paint applied with a palate knife on a stretched canvas.

In this abstract impressionistic painting, I applied a mostly lavender, blue, and yellow palate to soften the architectural elements in the city and create a sense that love is in the air. Portions of the pastel colors have been scratched or scraped away to reveal a darker image below the surface, which I think adds dimension and depth to this painting. Highlights are added for continuity and visual flow. The painting has a soft, yet vibrant, celebratory feel. Perfect for the Charlotte lover you know!
