Description
Virgin of the Rocks - Leonardo da Vinci.
Day 40 of the 100 day 2021 art challenge.
My reference for this sketch was from the work of Leonardo da Vinci's Virgin and Child with St. Anne and the Infant, St. John and an Angel, also known as The Virgin of the Rocks. This is my interpretation. With this one, I decided to combine a classical dynamic style of drawing, inspired of course by da Vinci, with a modern graphic pattern for the hair.
About 2 hours of working with colored pencils (red, reddish brown, dark green) and watercolor (pink) on watercolor paper. Your comments are welcome.
